Manufacturer Warranty
These terms and conditions apply to the manufacturer warranty terms which can be viewed on their specific website.
The Mobile Phone Hut Limited 6 Month (180-day) Seller Warranty
In this case the term ‘6 Month’ equals 180-days
This warranty only covers purchases made directly from the website
www.themobilephonehut.com
If your device does not come with a Manufacturer warranty then you will automatically receive the 6 Month (180-day) Mobile Phone Hut Limited warranty – term covered from the date of purchase.
If your purchase comes with a Manufacturer warranty which is shorter than 180-days then you will receive the remainder of the warranty up to 180 days via The Mobile Phone Hut Limited warranty.
For example
You buy a device on 01.01.25 which has a 4-month manufacturer warranty which will expire on 01.04.25. For this period your warranty is with the manufacturer. Once this period expires you will receive a 2-month Mobile Phone Hut Limited warranty which will expire on 01.06.25. This extra period from us will take your overall warranty to 6-Months which has been spilt with the manufacturer and Mobile Phone Hut Limited.
The warranty period commences from the date of purchase (according to the purchase date on the sales invoice) and runs, without delay, from this date for 180 days.
Under no circumstances can a warranty be delayed, extended or renewed.
For a warranty claim, the buyer is liable for all costs incurred in returning the handset back to us. However, we will reimburse the cost of the delivery of the handset (unless no fault is found or there is a voided warranty)
What is Covered by the Warranty?
If, in the rare event your purchase fails to operate under normal use and service - due to defects in parts or workmanship - our warranty will cover the cost of parts and labour to either repair or, if not repairable, replace your handset with a like for like model. Replacements will be issued in accordance with the specification and cosmetic appearance of the handset returned.
We aim to repair or replace all warranty returns within a reasonable time frame, but lead times will vary depending on the availability of stock and/or replacement parts.
What is Not Covered by the Warranty?
- Our 180-day seller warranty is not an insurance policy. Should we deem that any fault has occurred as a result of misuse (accidental or deliberate), or as a result of water damage, then the warranty will be void and no claim for repair or replacement will be honoured. If this is the case, we will contact you.
- The 180-day warranty does not cover defects and/or damage resulting from:
Normal wear and tear of the equipment, or otherwise due to the normal ageing of the equipment, including battery deterioration. - Any disassembly, repair, alteration or modifications carried out by anyone other than The Mobile Phone Hut Limited
- Misuse, abuse, negligence or an accident howsoever caused.
- Improper testing, operation, maintenance, installation, or any alteration or modification of the product.
This warranty will not be valid if;
- the serial number or warranty seal on the product is illegible, has been defaced or removed; or,
- no valid proof of purchase is provided
- We do not cover any devices for water damage. This includes devices, which were rated as waterproof/water resistant when new. This is due to the rubber seals/waterproofing degrading over time.
- We do not cover consequential or incidental damages, including but not limited to, loss of use, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of data, any fees related to third party contracts, down-time and charges for time and effort
- Any third-party attempt at repairing the handset will invalidate any returns period or warranty in place, which is why we strongly advise that any potential issue must be reported to us in the first instance and we will be able to advise further
What Must You Do?
All faults must be reported to us upon initial discovery of the fault (continuing to operate a device with a fault may cause the device to become irreparable). You will be held financially liable in this case and any costs associated with the return will become yours. In this instance, we will not uphold a warranty repair or replacement.
Devices must be returned to us without any security measures (for example, passwords, passcodes) in place, which would prevent us from completing a full assessment and factory reset.
Devices returned to us with a security measure in place will be subject to extensive delays.
The device must be returned to us on or before the date the warranty period expires, any devices returned outside of this period will be deemed as out of warranty, and returned to you subject to the relevant costs. Please ensure that the device is packaged safely and in accordance with the courier’s guidelines before sending it to us. You must retain your proof of postage and tracking details.
Ultimately, you are responsible for the device until we accept the delivery.
‘No Fault Found’
Should we deem the device to be fully working, then it will be returned to you. It will only be returned once the return postage fee of £9.95 has been paid via bank transfer to The Mobile Phone Hut Limited bank account. (We cannot take any other forms of payment for this) Account details will be given at the time.
