Are the devices you sell genuine?
Yes, all the items we sell are 100% genuine. We do not sell fakes, dupes, or counterfeit devices. Here at The Mobile Phone Hut, we invest significant time in due diligence and rigorously certify every product we buy. This reassurance is backed by over 20 years of industry knowledge and experience.
Where do you source your devices from?
All of our stock is purchased through our purchasing website (mobilephonetradein.co.uk). We carry out a rigorous vetting process on every single device we buy before selling it to our customers.
I am a VAT registered business, can I reclaim the VAT on my purchase?
All the items we sell are sold under the VAT margin scheme, so you will not be able to claim any VAT back on your purchase. For more information, please see our VAT page .
I am looking to insure the device with a third-party insurance company, can you help?
Yes, being VAT registered, we can provide you with a purchase invoice that includes all the details required by your insurance company.
You don’t currently have the model I want, will you be getting more stock?
Our stock is updated daily, so be sure to check back for availability. Unfortunately, we do not know in advance what new items are arriving, but as soon as products are available, they will be added here to the online shop.
When was the Mobile Phone Hut established?
We have been trading since 2009, taking on limited company status in 2020.
What condition are the devices that you sell?
We sell a wide range of devices, from brand new to Grade B. For more details on device conditions, please see our grading page.
I have purchased a 5G enabled device but I’m not receiving 5G signal.
Buying a 5G-enabled phone does not guarantee you will receive a 5G signal. First, you will need to make sure you have a 5G package with your network operator. Second, you will need to ensure you are in a 5G coverage area (your network operator can confirm this).
Are the phones that you sell unlocked?
Yes, all the phones we sell are factory unlocked, so your device can be used with any nano-SIM card or eSIM carrier worldwide.
Do you only sell U.K. specification devices?
Yes! Because we operate exclusively within the United Kingdom, we only supply genuine U.K.-specification devices on our online store. While some competitors may sell cheaper, imported, non-U.K. stock, these often lack full local manufacturer warranties. Please be aware of this when purchasing.
Do you offer warranties on your devices you sell?
All of the phones we sell come with either a manufacturer warranty or a 6-month seller warranty. Details of which warranty is included with each device are clearly shown on each individual listing. For more details, please visit our warranty page.
Will my order come with a wall plug charger?
As manufacturers shift toward more eco-friendly practices, charging plugs are no longer included in the box. Because of this, you will need to purchase the appropriate plug separately.
If you have been established for over 15 years, why is your Trustpilot review page so new?
We recently decided to expand our sales operations by launching our own independent online store. Prior to this, we grew our business on eBay, where you may have first discovered us. Since starting in 2008 with a small selection of devices, we have proudly grown to sell over 20,000 units and built a large base of loyal, returning customers.
Do you only sell your own stock?
Yes, we only sell our own stock that we fully own. We do not sell devices on behalf of third parties.
Are you affiliated with any of the brands that you sell?
No, we are not affiliated with any of the brands we sell. The devices we buy are independently owned and resold by The Mobile Phone Hut Limited.
Do I have to pay for postage?
No, we offer free Royal Mail Special Delivery for all orders placed on our website. This is a fully tracked, signed-for, and insured service.
How long will it take to receive my order?
All confirmed orders received before 12:00 pm on a working day will be dispatched that same day. Orders placed after 12:00 pm will be dispatched on the next working day. Please note that we do not dispatch orders on weekends or public bank holidays. Your estimated delivery date is the next working day after dispatch. However, deliveries to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and Scottish Isles take longer due to Royal Mail service times, so please allow 3 working days for these locations.
Where do you post to?
We ship exclusively within the United Kingdom. At this time, we do not ship to international addresses.
I’ve placed an order online, but I haven’t received my confirmation order email?
Once you place your online order, the confirmation email should arrive immediately. If you haven't received it, please check your spam or junk folder, as it can sometimes land there.
